Usually 78s end up in thrift stores, garage sales, estate sales, etc., many getting broken or cracked along the way and thrown in the trash. By donating the records, you’re putting that music on the path of being enjoyed again before this happens.
We’ve been contacted by numerous families and record collectors since we’ve opened and these are some of the things we’ve heard …
“I have an extensive collection of records, the majority are 78s. I would like for them to go to someone who appreciates them and or/knows others who appreciate them. I hate that they might just get thrown away.” – Chris

We’ve successfully found new homes for collections including pre-war jazz, blues, country, R&B, R&R as well as opera and classical records. It’s rare that we decline a donation and have to turn them away but sometimes we need to due to condition.
We’re passionate collectors that want to help preserve this music for future generations by getting these in the hands of the next caretakers.
