Early 1900’s Opera & Classical Music 78s & LPs

A few weeks ago a gent contacted us from Waco and asked if we would be willing to accept a large collection of opera & classical 78s from the early 1900s as well as some LPs. He didn’t want to take them to the thrift store as they meant so much to his family member. Record stores in his area wouldn’t accept them so he was hoping we would take them in as we do accept record donations.

A few days ago, he drove them up to us, we unloaded them into the shop and we turned around and shared the collection to others within our network and said we’d donate them to whoever was interested in this material. A gent named Matt spoke up and claimed them. An avid pre-war collector, he was happy to absorb them into his collection, re-home what he could on his end and use some on a radio show he’s a part of.

Moral of the story, don’t throw away this history or send it to the thrift shop. There’s always someone within reach that will enjoy this historic music, no matter the genre.
